Delhi, Dilli, and a Little Healing
Sometimes, a journey takes you places. And sometimes, it gently brings you back to yourself.
Delhi did a little of both.
From the familiar buzz of New Delhi, heavy barricades in Connaught Place to the quieter comfort of a hotel in Saket, this trip unfolded like a conversation between the woman I have been and the woman I am slowly becoming. After a long time, staying in a Hotel in Saket came naturally, without a heartache of missing childhood Saket home. Saket has a new address.
There was the excitement of my first podcast shoot for Amazon Prime—a moment to pause and acknowledge how life continues to surprise us, even when we think we have seen enough of it. New beginnings do not always arrive with fanfare. Sometimes, they simply remind us that there is still so much left to explore.
And then came the most beautiful time machine of all—meeting school friends after 35 years!
For a few precious hours, the years melted away. Beneath the grown-up conversations, life stories, achievements and silences were the children we once were, carrying dreams we hadn't yet learnt to name.
Some journeys heal without asking questions. They give us new experiences, familiar laughter, a little solitude and the space to breathe.
Perhaps that was the quiet magic of this Delhi trip. No grand revelations. No dramatic transformations. Just a podcast, old friendships, different corners of a familiar city, and moments that felt like gentle reminders that life still has beautiful chapters waiting to be lived.
I returned with no declaration of having found all the answers. Only a quieter heart, a lighter spirit, and the comforting realisation that healing doesn't always mean leaving the past behind.
Sometimes, it means making peace with it—and allowing yourself to look forward again.
Perhaps this trip wasn't just about Delhi. Perhaps it was about finding a little more of myself along the way.
And for now, that is enough.
Happy Navratre!
Love Juju.
