Meeting an Old Friend

Meeting an Old Friend

I met my professional colleague, friend, and my guide at her resting place. It took me nearly 4 years and 52 days ever since I left her final destination.

She had been one of my strongest confidante during my post marriage part, I call as PM. Whenever, my boat shook by life’s challenges, and I steered towards her for guidance only to return to calmer waters. Was it that the situation had settled or was it my mind had calmed down? Whatsoever may be the reason the result was always uplifting.

After losing Momsie, my Popsie was my strength, my guide in this journey. In PM, my friend played an important role. Always showed me the bright side and encouraged me to stay positive. After Popsie, there is a vacuum in my life. After gathering lot of courage, I visited her and once again we chatted.

Tears rolled down my cheek as I uttered, “Hey sexy! How are you? And updated about the events in my life. I requested her to confirm her presence. Whenever, I paused, the leaves of the small plants surrounding her abode swayed by the gentle breeze as if acknowledging my presence. It seemed time had stood still and I was in real conversation with her. When I spoke, there was silence and when it was her turn, gentle breeze swayed the leaves from one side to another side. This seemed like a divine symphony.

I waited for an answer. And I finally got it.

It was beautifully engraved

In Loving Memory of THERESA BHATTY (May 28, 1940-Feb 5, 2022)

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have kept faith. Timothy 4.7 “

A smile spread across my face, I had my answer

“I am fighting a good fight, I am in the race. I am keeping faith.”

Thanks buddy.

Love Juju
